Cycling back from town, battling against the wind and driving rain, panniers
loaded with shopping I questioned my sanity. l owned a car, yet here was l,
cold, wet,and gasping, the car languishing on the drive. The bike’s chain
snapped as l pedaled hard up the hill, so with greasy chain in
hand l got off and pushed the now useless contraption.
Then cometh him, cloth cap, anorak and scarf, that supercilious grin.
“lt‘s no good just pushing it mate, your supposed to ride itl”
The headline was impressive,
l intend to plead insanity!
