ROLL ON WINTER By Pat Jerome

Roll on Winter.
We hear the germs all say.
Have done with all the sunshine,
Make fitness go away.
Bring on the coughs and sneezes,
The headaches and the flu.
The aches and pains and snuffles.
They all will see you through.
So three cheers for all the hankies
That will be used today.
You moan and cough and sneeze and sigh
And on your sick bed, lying there
You lift your eyes up to the sky,
And Whimper Doesn’t anybody care?
