True Love by John Lary

How beautiful thou art

How lovely and sublime

Thy face as fair as day

And all of this is mine.

I gaze into your eyes

And smile in true delight

Thy lips are sweet as wine

Thine eyes are full of light.

I question how you came

To be left upon the shelf

Dear mirror, why does no-one

Love me as I love myself?
